University of Maryland Safe Center
Opened in May 2016, the Support, Advocacy, Freedom, and Empowerment (SAFE) Center is a direct services, research, and advocacy initiative that provides comprehensive and holistic services to sex and labor trafficking survivors to help them move from crisis to wellness. The center is an initiative of the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the University of Maryland, College Park through their formal and collaborative enterprise for research and innovation, the University of Maryland Strategic Partnership: MPowering the State (MPower).
